Are you about to get a home inspection? Would you like it to go smoothly and quickly? I’m sure you do. To make an inspection as painless as possible for yourself, take the time to prepare, and it will be a breeze.
This means, anything in your home that is in need of repair should be taken care of.
The inspector will check the function of the lights in your home, so if you have light-bulbs that are out, you should replace them, since a broken bulb could make it appear as if the light isn’t working.
Any areas where pests might be nesting or hiding near your home should be cleared away. This includes garbage, debris and similar items.
Try to predict where the inspector might need access, and make sure that it is easy to reach. Trim back bushes and trees that are too close to the house, clear some space around your HVAC system, circuit breakers and water heater.
