How many doors do you have in your home? It might be hard for you to come up with a number off the top of your head, but needless to say, there are usually quite a few. A door is not cheap, especially if it is of good quality, so you want to make sure that if you invest in having a door replaced, it is done properly.
Why?
Well, even though a door might seem like a simple thing, it is a finely balanced part of your home. If it isn’t installed straight, the door could swing at an angle, ending up scraping the floor. If it isn’t firmly installed in the doorframe, it could eventually come loose from the force that is exerted on it when it swings open. If you have ever handled a door before it is installed, you will notice that it is a lot heavier than it feels when it is swinging on its hinges.
Even cutting a door to fit into a doorframe is a precision job. You wouldn’t want it done by someone that doesn’t have the right tools or experience.
