Do You Need Kickout Flashing?

Kickout flashing is very important, but it will not serve its purpose if it isn’t installed properly. Sometimes, flashing may be incorrectly installed in the first place, but it is also possible that it can come loose due to weather conditions. Some homeowners will even remove it because they feel that it is unsightly. They might not realize that it serves an important purpose. If you buy a house, it is possible that the previous owner did this, and you won’t find out until you have water damage in your house.

You should check your house, and make sure that any places where exterior walls and the roof intersect has kickout flashing installed correctly.
