Pesticides have gotten a bad rep lately, and it is not entirely unwarranted. Throughout the years, different types of pesticides have had terrible side effects that weren’t realized until after it was too late. They are, however, a necessary evil to deal with bugs, pests and weeds that would otherwise overtake our crops. There are many types of pesticides made for home use, and they are fairly safe for humans, but this doesn’t mean that caution isn’t warranted.
Before you use any type of pesticide, you should make sure to get well acquainted with the directions on how to use it, what to do if exposed, and how to protect yourself.
You should never apply pesticides in windy conditions, since they might blow back in your face, or they could blow over into your neighbors yard. You should also be careful to make sure that your children can’t get to these chemicals. Keeping them locked up or out of reach is the least you should do.
